Technology for Future: Digital Robotics Applications in VET
Technology needs digital skills – and modern vocational training concepts
Together with partners from Italy and Türkiye, bsw is implementing the Erasmus+ project Technology for Future: Digital Robotics Applications (T4F‑DRA). The aim is to equip teachers and learners in vocational education and training with essential competences in robotics, simulation, digital programming and sustainability – preparing them for the automated working environments of Industry 4.0 and 5.0.
What is the project about?
At its core, the project strengthens digital and green competences in VET. Participants gain practical knowledge in collaborative robots (COBOTs), simulation software such as CoppeliaSim, Python programming and digital learning methods. In addition, topics such as circular economy and waste management are integrated in line with the EU Green Deal.
Our project activities at a glance:
- Kick-off: project structure, task distribution and first steps with the digital training kit
Development of the basic framework for a digital training package, creation of the dissemination plan and initial technical workshops on robots and cobots. - Implementation of the virtual training “Robots & Cobots”
Online sessions including CoppeliaSim simulation training, inputs on Industry 5.0 and joint work on modules for the robotics training programme. - Production of an interactive video kit for robotics training
Planning, filming and editing of educational videos, enhanced with interactive elements and digital learning materials. - Workshops on waste management and circular economy
Local training sessions introducing principles of sustainable production, zero‑waste approaches and circular economy concepts. - Development and delivery of the programme “Digital Robotics Applications”
Virtual training on digital robot programming, simulation and the use of modern robotic applications in industry and vocational education. - Final event with evaluation and exchange of results
Presentation of project outcomes, exchange of practical experiences, a simulation competition and planning of further joint activities.
