Q-Bridge
Q-Bridge – The bridge to sustainable skills development
Q-Bridge builds directly on the milestones achieved by UpGrade and aims to consolidate and further develop the structures that have been established. While UpGrade focused on setting up the training centre, running the first pilot courses and developing consulting skills, Q-Bridge concentrates on strengthening the institution in terms of structure and personnel.
Our goals:
- Structural and personnel reinforcement of the newly founded UpGrade training centre to create a sustainable qualification platform.
- Further development of the courses on offer, particularly in the area of practice-oriented further education and training for the hotel and catering industry.
- Establishment of a train-the-trainer programme that specifically qualifies teachers from different regions of Uzbekistan in modern teaching methods.
- Deepening cooperation with Tourismus-Technika (vocational training institutions) in Samarkand, Margilan and other locations in order to establish practice-oriented training across the region.
- Promoting the international employability of Uzbek professionals through German language courses, internship programmes and corporate partnerships.
What are we planning to do?
- Introduction of German courses at the pilot locations Samarkand and Margilan to ensure uninterrupted training until language level A2 (680 teaching hours) is achieved.
- Practice-oriented training for 20 teachers from 16 regions of Uzbekistan to teach innovative training methods and industry-specific content. This measure is co-financed by the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
- Virtual exchange formats with German companies, in which participants gain insights into work processes, career paths and industry requirements.
- Company visits to international hotels to give participants practical guidance and prepare them for future internships and work shadowing opportunities in Germany.
- Integration praxisrelevanter Ausbildungselemente in die Curricula der kooperierenden Integration of practical training elements into the curricula of the cooperating technika – in close coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations (MHESI).
- Support for participants and teachers through continuous professional coaching and organisational assistance.
- Expanding cooperation with companies to create internships, mentoring opportunities and long-term employment prospects for graduates.
Q-Bridge thus builds a bridge between education and employment, between Uzbekistan and Germany – for future-oriented, needs-based qualification in the tourism sector.
