Our goal is to facilitate effective and long-term cooperation between international and Saxon companies. We offer a comprehensive range of services for business development, which aims to understand and meet the needs and goals of both sides.

For international companies interested in the Saxony market, we offer support in identifying potential cooperation partners in Saxony and in organising business development trips to the region. On the other hand, we support Saxony-based companies that want to expand their business activities internationally by connecting them with suitable partners abroad.

Our range of services includes a thorough needs analysis and goal definition to understand the needs and goals of companies. We identify potential cooperation partners, organise B2B meetings and offer intercultural training and language support to facilitate successful communication and cooperation.

Through our tailor-made services, we strive to build bridges between international markets and the Saxon economy in order to promote sustainable and successful business partnerships and drive regional economic development.

Manager training programme

Since the early 2000s, we have been regularly running the manager training programme of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK, formerly BMWi) in cooperation with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).

Since then, more than 400 executives from Asia and Eastern Europe have participated in the programme and have been able to get to know Saxon companies, establish business contacts and gather ideas for their own companies. This offers Saxon companies the opportunity to establish long-term cooperation with foreign companies.

The programme offers (virtual) training and a practical stay in Germany to improve leadership qualities and business skills. Participants gain insights into operational processes and develop solutions for their own companies. This promotes long-term cooperation between foreign and Saxon companies, especially in the area of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Visit Saxony!

As part of the Visit Saxony! programme, we organise targeted training courses and visit local companies. We focus on specific industry or technology topics that are determined in advance based on concrete interests identified by the participants.

Visit Saxony! opens up opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Free State of Saxony to expand their foreign trade activities and tap into new target markets. At the same time, decision-makers from important target markets have the opportunity to get to know Saxony as a business location, its technological expertise and potential cooperation partners on site. This initiative aims to promote the initiation and development of bilateral cooperation and business opportunities.

The industry-specific sales promotion instrument is financed by the Saxon State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labour and Transport (SMWA) and coordinated by Wirtschaftsförderung Sachsen GmbH (WFS).

Usbekistan

We have been active in Uzbekistan since 2021 and have had our own permanent staff on site since 2022. During this time, bsw has developed a comprehensive understanding of Uzbek culture and business. Through close cooperation with partners from the fields of business, politics and education, bsw makes a significant contribution to strengthening relations between Uzbekistan and Saxony. This partnership enables bsw to keep its finger on the pulse and stay well informed about current developments in Uzbekistan.

An important milestone was the delegation trip of Saxon entrepreneurs to Uzbekistan in November 2023. This trip was organised in cooperation with the Saxony Economic Development Corporation and offered Saxon companies the opportunity to establish direct contacts with Uzbek partners and develop a better understanding of the potential of the Uzbek market. The initiative is helping to strengthen economic cooperation between the two regions and open up new business opportunities. A bsw representative office is currently being set up in Uzbekistan to consolidate the bsw's long-term presence and commitment in the region.
