Fit4Future –CNC technology

Learning CNC multi-sided machining in a clear, digital and practical way – for everyone!

With the Erasmus+ project Fit4Future – CNC Machining for Everybody, we have teamed up with partners from Austria and Turkey to develop an innovative digital learning platform that takes training in CNC multi-sided machining to a whole new level.

Project goal

Our goal: to improve training for prospective cutting machine operators in a targeted manner – through tailored training content, modern e-learning and practical application examples. The focus is on the digital transfer of methodological skills – tailored to the requirements of a changing labour market.

What have we implemented? Was haben wir umgesetzt?

1. Use Cases from practice

Together with companies, real use cases relating to CNC multi-sided machining were defined and documented.

2. Digital training platform with learning apps

The central project deliverable is a web-based learning platform with:

  • 10 interactive learning apps
  • Basic knowledge of work culture and technology
  • Practical vocabulary and rules
  • Gamified learning with direct feedback (learning by doing)

The platform can be used flexibly – in face-to-face, online and hybrid teaching.

3. Learning Analytics & Transfer

A ‘Hardware Experience Day’ enabled teachers, trainers and partners to experience the developed learning solutions in action – including practical training and the opportunity to register.

Awarded as Erasmus+ Best Practice Project

With a rating of 92 out of 100 points, Fit4Future was awarded as a "Best Practice Project" by the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) in August 2024 – for relevance, quality, and sustainable impact.

Fit4Future sends a strong signal for modern, digital and practice-oriented vocational training.

What happens next?

In 2025, we will take this idea further: with a new project that promotes additional digital solutions and learning formats in CNC training.
